This example helps you understand how you can use SwapAce to swap stamps. It will help you understand how to create and advertise this item (as a 7 day advertisement, asking for open-swap offers ).

  1. Create An Item

    Select 'Add New Item' from the 'My Stuff' sidebar. (For more information about adding an item please see the help article on 'How Do I Add An Item').

    Example of How To Swap Stamps

    If you would like to swap a stamp, you may add your item like this:

    1. Select Item Type: Provide
    2. Select Item Categories: Products > Antiques and Collectibles > Collectibles > Stamps
    3. Add Item Details:
      • Item Title: Sydney Olympics 2000 Celebration Stamp
      • Item Description: Printed in 2000. Stamp 736 of 500 000. Mint condition. Depicts a beautiful Sydney sunset over the main Olympic stadium.
  2. Advertise Your Item

    Select 'Advertise Item' from the 'My Stuff' sidebar or when viewing the item details. (For more information about advertising an item please see the help article on 'How Do I Advertise An Item?').

    Example: Stamp Advertisement

    If you would like to create an advertisement with your stamp item, you may add you advertisement like this:

    1. Select Advertisement Type: Open-Swap
    2. Add Advertisement Details:
      • Advertisement Duration: 7 days
      • Payment Options:
        • Direct Bank Deposit
        • PayPal, Paymate, or another online payment service that is agreed upon
      • Delivery/Shipping:
        • Both parties (myself and the person whose offer I accept) to meet in person and exchange any relevant items/money
        • Each party (myself and the person whose offer I accept) to pay any relevant delivery/shipping costs for the items you are each providing
      • Optional Comments: Selling this stamp as I have 5 duplicates. I would like to swap for any stamps from the 1996 Atlanta games or 2004 Athens games. All stamps must be in mint condition.

What Happens Next

  • Receive Offers From Others: people can make offers to you. You can accept any of these offers, or wait until the end of the advertisement (to automatically accept the best offer).
  • OR

  • Make Offers To Others: you offer your item to other people who are looking for stamps.
    1. Find People: you can search or browse for other people who are looking for stamps.
    2. Make An Offer: make an offer to other people, who can then accept your offer
