"ANTIQUE BLUE BIRD CLOISONNE ENAMEL PIN BROOCH" Description
The following listing is for a beautiful antique brooch or pin, featuring a blue bird. The pin may be considered cloisonne, or perhaps guilloche. The bird sits against a background with a crisscrossed or hatched silver design that has a foil look. The edges of the pin are decorated. This is a very old pin, perhaps even pre-Victorian? The metal actually looks as though it could be copper. It's in very good condition for the age, although the pin in back is a bit bent as is almost always the case with old jewelry and looks to have been re-soldered. The pin measures approximately 1 1/4" by 1". This is from one of the homes we bought contents of here in the area, and is completely market fresh! Very pretty and a wonderful find!!!
